Workshop & Mods

The main-menu Workshop button is for players. Creator Studio is for making content.

Installing community content

  1. Open Workshop from the main menu.
  2. Choose Browse Steam Workshop.
  3. Subscribe to a card set, grading service, room theme, or supported add-on.
  4. Wait for Steam to finish downloading it.
  5. Return to the game and choose Refresh Subscriptions if it does not appear automatically.

The game checks subscriptions at startup, so a restart is the most reliable fallback after a new subscription.

Managing subscriptions

The in-game Workshop screen groups installed content by type and shows its icon, name, version, and source. Community set thumbnails use their square Workshop preview image.

  • Enabled/Disabled: controls whether supported content is active without deleting owned cards.
  • Unsubscribe: asks Steam to remove the Workshop item.
  • Refresh Subscriptions: rescans completed downloads.
  • Local File Tools: installs a supported local mod package or opens the mod folder; most players do not need this section.

Card safety

Owned cards remain safe when a set is disabled or removed. Do not manually erase files while the game is open. Use the in-game controls so migrations and ownership protection can run.

Grading add-ons

Removing a grading provider transfers its slabs and active orders to SAG before uninstalling. The confirmation message explains exactly what will move.

Subscription does not appear

  1. Confirm Steam shows Subscribed.
  2. Wait for the Steam download to complete.
  3. Click Refresh Subscriptions.
  4. Close and reopen Workshop.
  5. Restart the game once.
  6. Verify the item supports your game version.

If it still does not appear, report the Workshop item link, its content type, and whether other subscriptions load correctly.
